Clark Out, Brown In At Huddersfield

After Lee Clark resigned from his post at Huddersfield Town. Phil Brown of Preston North End FC has stepped in to take over as manager.

Brown was only at North End for 6 months, but last month threatened to walk out after the chairman Maurice Lindsay started touting their players to other clubs behind his back. With no money to work with from the sales of Andy Lonergan and Sean St.Ledger, Brown resigned as PNE manager.

Brown was the best option Huddersfield could sign, and the fans have greeted this arrival with good noise. The first task Brown will have is to keep hold of players like Alex Smithies, Anthony Pilkington and Jordan Rhodes. He does have a good eye for a freebie though, just watch this space....

True, but Smithies was a 3* raising to 4*, Basso was 4* overall, a good direct replacement.

Pilkington I already agreed a fee in the editor with Norwich, decided to do it as a future transfer so I got money, and Rhodes, well I got Agogo and Sokouna who are both better than him, all the players I bought will give me a formidable team.

Plus Pilks/Rhodes/Smithies all have clauses on where 50% of the next fee goes to me Wink

    Huddersfield, Chelsea Set Up Partnership

McEachran hs been sent on loan to Huddersfield

Chelsea have set up a partnership with League One leaders Huddersfield Town to send their young prospects on loan.

The Blues will also send the Terriers a monthly fee to help them with development and bills. Their first action was to send promising midfielder Joshua McEachran to the Galpharm Stadium, presumably to be thrown straight into the action.

With several loan players like Kazenga LuaLua, Joe Mattock and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas at the club, Huddersfield looks like a great breeding ground for youngsters. When spoken too by SkySports, McEachran said: "I am looking forward to playing for Huddersfield Town. They have tremendous potential as a club and have a fantasic bunch of players. I just want to prove myself at this level and hopefully force my way into the Chelsea first-team in the future."

Beast, but on a big wage, somethign like £7.5k a week for League One but he's a class above this league, as is LuaLua. Soukouna has 19 goals in the league so far
