    Earnshaw Signs!

The seagulls are delighted to announce the signing of 29 year old Welsh international Robert Earnshaw on a free transfer. The pacey frontman is proven at Championship level, scoring nigh-on 80 goals at this level.

Seagulls boss Jordi Murray said: "We're delighted Robert accepted our offer, and we hope he can push us away from the relegation zone. He impressed me in training during his trial, and I didn't hesitate to offer him a deal."

Earnshaw said he is delighted to have a club again, and has vowed to hit the back of the net many times for his new club.

    Brighton Sign Mackail-Smith

Skysports.com can confirm the transfer of Peterborough's 26 year old stiker Craig Mackail-Smith for an undisclosed fee. The Scotland international netted 27 league goals in League 1 last term, and has scored 12 in 27 games so far in the Championship. There was lots of interest from Southampton and Nottingham Forest, therefore the fact he chose Brighton was a big shock to many, as the Seagulls are considered to be 'punching above their weight'. Manager Jordi Murray rubbished these suggestions, saying: "We are a big club with big ambitions, and I am delighted that Craig accepted our offer." CMS also was quick to announce he joined Brighton because Tony Bloom and Murray explained the ambition to him, and won him over.
