    Everton - Chelsea

Post by luke. on Sun May 22, 2011 3:12 pm

Cech, Ivanovic, Alex, Terry, Cole, Mikel, Essien, Lampard, Malouda, Torres, Anelka.

Bench: Turnbull, Luiz, Zhirkov, Ferreira, Kalou, Bertrand, McEachran.

No Drogba.. obviously in Turkey signing for Galatasary shifty

As Rory Smith said.. Get the feeling this isn't survival Sunday if you're Carlo Ancelotti, the one man doomed to extinction whatever happens.

Torres again not the problem, it's our players, not him. He lays balls off and makes little runs, while Lampard/Essien/Anelka/Malouda just stand there and pass it sideways... We're so boring. Sometimes I wonder why I want Ancelotti to stay... So frustrating. Play. Him. Through.

Commentators were absolutly laying into Torres, was a bit harsh I though, although tbf Torres plays way too deep sometimes, hard to play him through there

how is ancelottis fault that chelsea midfield has 0 creativity

he is not jesus. he cannot change water to wine. he cannot make lampard and essien magically become a xavi

This is probably Ancelotti's last game at Chelsea so his tactics wont bother you too much in the future.

yeah but its true. does he really thknk ancelotti tells the team to pass sideways at all times or get desperate and give ball to ivanovic for another one of those "row z" crosses

those midfields lack ability to run forward carry the ball and lift head for a forward or diagonal pass. so they pass sideways and rely on torres or anelka to make a run for them when it should be a 50-50 contribution not sole responsibilty for strikers to make runs

It's Ancelotti's system and tactics... unless he just sends the players out without tactics? Which is even worse..
