    Ravel Morrison- The tainted diamond

    Ravel Morrison- The tainted diamond

As many of you may know there is a lot of youth players that are currently predicted to have a good career , one of these is Ravel Morrison a 17 year old player for Manchester United. Ravel was born in Manchester in the district of Wythenshawe in Manchester. Ravel is seen by the coaching staff at Old Trafford as the next big thing and has been touted by many to play in Brazil for England in the 2014 world cup.

Ravel this season has entered the reserve side and has put in a impressive number of performances this season for the reserves. The last coming in Ole Gunnar Solskjaers last game, in which he scored twice during a 5-1 win. Ravel has also made impressions on the first team this season being given a senior squad number (49) and coming on for the last minute during the Carling cup victory over wolves.

If you were to compare one player to Ravel Morrison it would have to be Andres Iniesta the Spanish & Barcelona midfielder. Some people may says "Ho ho an English player is not anything like Iniesta" However he has Iniesta's running style and the abilty to keep hold of the ball in tight situations.

Morrison has also been given encouragement from other players as well with the most recent coming from fellow united player Brown who said "Ravel's a great player" also saying that he has been training with the first team sometimes "He's been training with us, on and off, since the start of the season". Brown finished by saying "He's a good lad and hopefully he can keep on progressing" which is partly true. Morrison is a good player and will no doubt keep progressing but the idea that he is a good lad is far off the mark.

One the hardest things Ravel Morrison will face during his career is trouble. Not troubles with form or injury but trouble outside football. This began when he was 16 when he was stopped by Police in a car which contained guns and drugs with two other people. Ravel Morrison continued to disappear last season during the academy season without notification or reason. Even now for the last two reserve games rumours are circulating that Ravel has Been suspended for either missing training or for a more serious "Witness intimidation" case. What ever the truth in those rumours remain unclear but it is sure there is a undercoat of problems of Ravel Morrison's time at Old Trafford up to now.

One thing is certain though , if Ravel manages to stay out of trouble and fulfil his potential as a footballer then Manchester United & England could have a new superstar on there hands.

A very good read. I don't know much about him as i haven't really seen him play but the hype around him gets me excited. Next Iniesta? Don't want those kinds of comparisons already but i'd take him any day even if he is half as good as Iniesta.

The only place he should be scoring is in the prison showers.

Oh yes, because Stevie has a reputation of intimidating witnesses and possessing guns.
