Even then if people are saying "Accept our culture and traditions or fuck off".....then what's wrong with that? Basically, after the war the first things to grow in the trench mud and the ground where fighting had taken place were red poppies. I guess they represent hope/new life etc etc.

I'm not sure if any Muslims spoke out about this specific incident, but we have been publicly criticizing extremism ever since 9/11. Personally, I or anybody else shouldn't have to come running to the public to offer an apology for people who don't even represent true Islam every time these idiots decide to make a fuss.
