That's a separate issue, hardly his fault if the club don't play him, if what you're saying is no matter how good he is the club won't give him a chance, then him not playing for Chelsea is not a slight against McEacharan's ability

Re: Chelsea FC Official thread
well the odds are he wont be at another top club. will become a midtable team player at best
if he was given more chances at chelsea, playing with better quality players he could develop better but he wont. i say overhyped cause these fans seem to think anyone who does above ok in reserves is world class

Just realised Mceachran is dating Sophie Webster from Coronation Street... Laughed for a long time until I realised Wilshere had her first

Re: Chelsea FC Official thread
mceachran always played pretty inconsistent and bad in the reserves. his best success is youth level and with under-age england and for chelsea senior team

You never know if they are good enough until you give them a chance. Sure you get a rough idea and can guess if they will be good enough or not but it's not the same as giving them games. And let's face it, Chelsea don't have a great track record when it comes that considering the amount of good youngsters they have let go.ResurrectionRooney wrote:Marvin wrote:Obviously not now, I meant when they are around 19/20 like the likes of Kakuta.
Most of them will never be good enough, regardless of whether they are "given a chance". If they are good enough, they will be though.

I do know most of them will never be good enough, simply because the vast majority of players at that age don't make it. To be considered for an academy you have to be the best in an age range of maybe 2 years, to be selected for the Chelsea first team you have to be among the best in an an ranger of 15-20 years, it would be absolutely extraordinary if most of those players made it. It's not a matter of Chelsea's track record, it's a matter of mathematics.
Even teams who supposedly have a good record in bringing through youngsters, they reject a veritable shitload more than they take on. Behind every Iniesta and Messi, every Wilshere or Welbeck there is a legacy of young lads who abandoned their educations for a shot at superstardom and didn't make the cut and end up as either bin men or lower League players.

Matt Jarvis was at your training ground yesterday, when asked why he was there RDM replied "no comment".
Bet he's the one after Moses as well.

I don't think we'll go in for him, I think we'll stick with Torres.

I'm sure you wouldn't mind adding RvP.
It's not like you can't afford him.

I'm not feeling all the confident about RDM as manager, I wish we waited and hired Blanc.

You shouldn't, but he got you the champions league so he's obviously going to get another season.
He'll probably be sacked midseason when Chelsea are 5th or 6th anyways

My main concern is that I don't think he'll use the youngsters often, if at all either. Had chances to do so last season but didn't.Gatsby wrote:I'm not feeling all the confident about RDM as manager, I wish we waited and hired Blanc.
