    Debatable Decisions table.

Post by Rick Rosstrich on Sat Jan 14, 2012 5:34 pm

We all get annoyed with referees bad decisions and we wonder what the league would be like had the decisions not been given. We also like to know how many debatable decisions have gone against us and for us.

So here is the debatable decisions table for the Premier League:

And this is what the table would look like had there been no debatable decisions.

Not fully conclusive because penalties still have to be scored etc..

They have turned something subjective into data represented in a table.... Bravo.

Depends on what they deem as a debatable decision, cant really take it without seeing the incidents they mean

All these ones are conclusive. They were just debatable at the time, like penalties that weren't given, Shawcross becoming a goalkeeper against Spurs and shit like that.

DISCLAIMER – Please be aware that we are not trying to pass the REAL table off as fact, we are more than aware of certain flawed aspects, however, we would hope that everyone reading takes it in good nature and employs the imagination needed to enjoy a fun and unnusual take on the Premier League and refereeing decisions. If you take it too seriously, or mistakenely believe that we are taking it too seriously, you’re missing out.
We would also like to draw your attention to the the Decisions Table, which we consider the most important and accurate table on Debatable Decisions. The decisions are judged by five independent judges, who each support different club sides (ranging from the Premier League to League One) and all decisions are discussed in the blogs provided under Referee Analysis. Before and after is not taken into account, it is simply a table of incorrect decision for and against each team in the Premier League.

There are very few clear cut decisions like that. But even still, there is no way of saying how they would have affected the game.

Does that also add things like the Wolves player who was sent off against Arsenal, terrible decision that was. And a few other decision's like this that have went for and against lots of teams.

It doesn't even have to be "debatable decisions" .. if it were "blatantly obvious wrong decisions" .. then Rangers probably wouldn't even be in the top 3

In the last derby? And we had a goal wrongly chopped off for offside

Gary Hooper was clean through and round the goalkeeper before he stopped for the offside.

Totally agree with you Hooper was never offside, but the Rangers goal that was not given would have put them up 1 nil and that could have changed the whole course of the game. Im not complaining as i want Celik to win the League.
