Salamanca midfielder Miguel Garcia is recovering after going into a cardiac arrest in a Spanish second division game with Real Betis.

While play was on hold, the 31-year-old suddenly collapsed in what was a shocking moment for spectators and players on the pitch in Seville.

But he was revived by medics before being hospitalized and is currently on road to full recovery, according to his club Salamanca.

The disturbing incident evoked memories of Antonio Puerta's death three years ago, following a heart attack during a Liga match.
