    Arsenal vs Wolverhampton Wanderers | 27th December | 3pm |

Post by crump on Mon Dec 26, 2011 6:29 pm

Arsenal's defensive woes have been exacerbated with the news that Kieran Gibbs faces a further month on the sidelines after having groin surgery.

Johan Djourou could return ahead of schedule from a groin injury, while Alex Song is available after a ban.

Wolves manager Mick McCarthy has no fresh injury concerns for the trip to the Emirates.

Jody Craddock (hamstring) and David Edwards (groin) hope to recover in time for this game.

Of course, van Persie just needs three goals to break Shearers record of the amount of goals scored in a calender year.

    Team Line-ups:

    Szczesny
    Djourou, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Vermaelen,
    Song, Arteta,
    Rosicky, Benayoun, Gervinho,
    Van Persie.

My prediction is for Arsenal to win 4-1 with Karl Henry scoring for Wolves. van Persie scoring twice, and Gervinho and Arteta joining the goals.

    Szczesny
    Coquelin - Mertesacker - Koscielny - Vermaelen
    Song - Arteta
    Walcott - Benayoun - Gervinho
    van Persie

Hoping that we rest Ramsey, he looks shattered, and we don't risk Djourou.

So glad to have Song back. We were lacking in creativity against Villa and a large part of that was down to his absence. Hopefully a comfortable three points and a couple of goals from van Persie.

Ramsey looks shattered? He covered the most ground in our last game V Villa. If he's shattered the other players are lazy cunts.

We always bottle it when it comes to capitalising on other teams dropping points.

You predicted Karl Henry to score? Don't think he's ever been in the opposition half, plus he's shit Laughing

Arsenal should win, Wolves have been poor recently, there only hope is set pieces and crosses to Fletcher. O'Hara may score a screamer aswell, but its quite unlikely.

Doesn't mean he can't look tired. He looks labored with his passing and movement. When i'm playing football I can run round the pitch all I like, even when i'm tired, but when I get the ball it takes me more time to think and to pass and move when i'm tired, which is what looks like Ramsey's playing like.

So excited for this game. We need to try and win by a big score line, because it feels as if we haven't for a while now, regardless of who scores, that said, I think Robin will get at least 2, and Gervinho and Walcott will score aswell.

He's always been slow in decisions, Rosicky moves the ball alot faster so im glad he's playing today.

Walcott is out through illness this afternoon, hopefully nothing too sinister. Great chance for Benayoun.

Probably because arsenal had the match re-arranged due to the tube strikes and they had already decided to put this game (sheffield united vs notts county) on the box instead.
