Michel Salgado will play no part in Blackburn Rovers' crucial Premier League clash against Bolton Wanderers tonight, despite the defender being fit for selection.
Under-fire boss Steve Kean confirmed yesterday that the former Real Madrid player will leave Ewood Park next month.
Salgado has claimed that the struggling club cannot afford to offer him a new deal, according to Sky Sports News.
The 36-year-old's contract reportedly states that the defender is entitled to a new deal if he plays nine more games.
